Snow Emergency Declaration
A Snow Emergency has been declared for Silverdale Borough.
12:00 PM February 22nd through 6:00 PM February 23rd
Per borough ordinance, it shall be unlawful to park a motor vehicle or to allow that vehicle to remain parked anywhere on a snow emergency route. All streets within the borough are designated as snow emergency routes except Walnut Street and Main Street (Route 152 & Route 113).
Per borough ordinance, it requires that snow and ice be removed from sidewalks within 24 hours after the storm has ceased. We appreciate everyone who has been so diligent in clearing their sidewalks during these past storms!
When using a snow blower or shoveling, please be courteous and do not put snow on borough or state roadways.
The borough contracts with a private contractor for snow removal and salting of borough roadways. PennDot and its subcontractors are responsible for Baringer Avenue, Walnut Street, and Main Street.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message my Facebook Page, email me, or contact the borough office during business hours (likely to close on Monday). Due to my work responsibilities, I may be delayed in responding. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
