LOCAL SHARE GRANT APPLICATION
Silverdale Borough & SILVERDALE VOLUNTEER FIRE CO. want to announce the successful submission of a $900,000 PA State Local Share Account Grant on November 30th.
Many thanks to the Silverdale Borough Council, PA State Rep. Shelby Labs, Fire Chief Keith Seifert and Senator Jarrett Coleman for sponsoring this grant on behalf of the Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company.
The grant is for a new custom built fire truck to better serve the Silverdale community and surrounding area. The current fire truck is over 25 years old and faces continuous repairs and difficulties finding spare parts.
The Local Share Account Grant is derived from PA gaming Revenues and is earmarked for specialty community projects such as this. The Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company serves all communities in the map attached below. While there is no guarantee for this grant award it is an example of continued forward thinking and planning on the part of the community.
